((After waking up at twenty to four this morning with godawful stomach cramps and the certainty I was going to spend the night throwing up, I actually had a really good day at work. Well, aside from getting rained on during the walk in. ^_^; I more than doubled my speed in a single day, got 10/10 and 9/10 on the two sections of the job we'd just been taught this past week and a half, and managed not to throw up. ;) Aside from getting absolutely drenched walking back home, and really not minding that thanks to a leather jacket and a wide-brimmed hat, good day!

I even got a cheap laugh on the way home:

Small gaggle of little kids, only one and a half of whom were covered by the umbrella: *stares at the apparition in the purple coat and floppy hat*

Me: *...shrug* *smile nicely as they pass, since they look rather sad and soggy*

Small boy: *as we're passing each other, shouts "COWGIRL!"*

Me: *...blinkblink* *considers this* ^_^!

*two seconds later, it ABSOLUTELY BUCKETS IT DOWN*

Me: *nice and dry in my coat and hat, thinks contentedly of soaking wet screeching kids and grins* Better a cowgirl than soaking wet. ^_^

I'm going to have a nice, hot shower in a minute, I have chocolate cake and the electric bill sorted, and all is right with the world. ^^ Well, aside from the fact that it's continually pissing it down in August. >_>))
((I was trying to draw HW&HD Fluffmoon, I really was. I even looked up uniforms and everything.

Yet, somehow, I ended up with a tiny drawing of ickle baby Artemis instead, and the idea for Fluffmoon has vanished as though it had never been.

Because little!Artemis is Just That Cute.))
((*wails*

No, really, this is more than enough to wring my heartstrings. ;_; AU puppetfluff, good grief. There was a beautiful bit of fanart for this too, but I can't seem to lay hands on it...))
((Back in England - well, have been back in England for a day now. Except that when Mikki and I turned up at Koi's yesterday I promptly collapsed in a hep and slept for a good ten hours or so. So...slightly belated news, but we're all back safe. And it's miserable and grey and I have a stinking cold, so I'm going to go flop and watch Koi play Pharoah. Later, guys. *hugs all*))
((We're leaving for the airport in about fifteen minutes! Wish us luck... *cuddles all* See you soon!))
((This is going to be interesting - I've managed to slice my forefinger with the scissors when I was trimming my fringe, so I'm hopping about over the keyboard like a three-legged frog. Hrmm.

Suitcase is packed, adrenaline levels are at an all-time high, suitcase and hand luggage is packed. I'm waiting for Rath to be done in the bathroom, sitting on the bed in my pyjamas with my laptop, and valiantly resisting the numerous packets of cake-based junk food scattered around with the willpower of someone who's just stepped on the scales, more fool I. I didn't quite manage to do everything I needed to today - Tesco's summer range, at least in terms of the swimming stuff, seems bound and determined to deny any knowledge of the bikini top I bought there a month ago, despite still having everything else that was in stock back then. Seeing as how the lower halves of bikinis that might've matched seemed built for women with their hips under their ears, I now have a bikini consisting of a pretty white top - and a pair of swimming trunks from the on-sale men's section. They're really comfy, aside from the great hunk of netting inside the trunks themselves designed to hold in various bits of anatomy I don't actually have.

I might need to get creative with the scissors later - carefully avoiding my fingers - and snip the elastic out.

...

*giggles* ^_^))
((Oh, charming. XD )

*splorfles!* Could be worse, they could be interrogating Virgin. X)
((Suitcase piled with clothes, towels and assorted bits of fluff to go in either case or hand luggage. Cutoffs dragged from wardrobe and suitably hacked at and pulled in so they don't fall down anymore. *ahem* List of Tesco's stuff made and stuck up somewhere memorable. Passport put somewhere very visible so I won't flail.

Two days before London...))
((...Mum's computer delights in giving me attacks of the heebie-jeebies. DO NOT WANT cascading popup IE windows! Especially since she's just got it 'fixed' for that same problem! *flails* Not to mention that I don't know how to fix it when there are to many to deal with at once...at least it wasn't as bad as when it all-out drowned me in the things before.

I can't stand this computer, but at least I get to talk to people...))
((The official averages and everything haven't been worked out yet, and aren't going to be until the twentieth of July or so (WTF, I say, uni admin...)

BUT, I have all my marks in for the year and for my dissertation, and I think it's quite safe to say that I've officially passed my degree with a 2.1 mark, not to mention pretty handsome passes on most of my essays. ^_^

I think it's pretty justifiable to sign this entry off with a leetle bit of swank...

Yours sincerely, LJ, with no little woot,

((Y'know, for all my brother's laptop and mine are the exact same make, model and whatever else it is yo might use to identify computers, it's interesting just how awkward it feels using his compared to mine. I know it's just because all my music, stories and IM logs aren't here (and because his 1/! key is missing and I have to push the little sucker-thing instead...) but it's quite disorienting to have a cat macro pop up as the desktop background instead of Thrust and Inferno.))
((That guy on the computer next to me hadn't better come back until and unless he's answered his bloody mobile. Seriously, if the phone keeps on ringing and ringing and ringing, either answer it or turn the phone off! *twitches*

In happier news, I've got dad a Father's Day present - and a sheet full of various Marvelverse pics to scan in on friday. I do believe I'm going to get squeed at by a Rath for at least one of them. ;)

Also also, a Virginficsnippet - that I really need to decide how to finish. It's either leave it as it is and leave a lot of loose ends hanging, which would be bad; jump to where I want to in the story, explain said loose ends and finish it off, which is what it's starting to look like I'll do; or write the entire series of events out which I'm rapidly lacking enthusiasm for and can't quite picture well enough to write anyway. Gragh. XP

Still. I have barley sugars and... *checks* twenty minutes of time left on the library internet, so it could be worse. ^_^ *...looks outside to see if it's raining yet*

...I don't believe it. It's just started to rain. *headdesk* Me and my big mouth!))

((EDIT: ...I need a Virgin icon or something. Come to think of it, I need a lot more emotion-indicator-type icons. And a Virgin one. And an Artemis one. And - I should just make a set of mood icons with all my fanchars, shouldn't I?))
((Okay... I just heard the Black Lab cover of the TF:TM theme. To be oerfectly honest, when the music itself started up I was happy enough, then the vocals began and I nearly fell out of my chair with surprise. Nothing like the original, nothing like what I might have been expecting.

But good gravy if it doesn't grow on you. I was grinning like a maniac about half-way through the second verse, and not just because of the shiny on the video - it's nothing like the shiny glory of the original version, but this has a wonderful gravelly, drawling something about it that makes my hair stand on end. Which only makes the comparison between the caterwauling that is the official new TF movie theme more painful. ¬¬

Well, I might be surprised when they use the MuteMath one in the Movie. (I probably won't be, but we'll see. >_>) I'm not about to turn into a frothing fanbrat, 'cause you all know I'm not quite that bad, I hope. ;) I will, however, squee very loudly about

And now I go to grab an icecream and sit in the sun, after I put the washing out. *industrious!*))
((Another day of invigilating over, and here's me trotting into town to go get some of my wild mane lopped off. I'd just like to put it on record that I want the human body to come with a body clock reset switch, so that when I - reasonably enough - reckon that forcing yourself to be tired before midnight (by staying up late the night before) in order to get up for half past seven will actually work, logic prevails over reality. Humph.

Due to spending all my free time yesterday IMing TF/Marvelverse porn with Rath, I've had her headcast wandering through my brain. I was just wondering about various bits of Virgin's history when I came upon a white feather beside the path and, being the superstitions thing that I am, grinned and took this to be a hello from a certain wide-eyed wibbly thing, given that I'd just been thinking about it. I pick it up, admire it as I walk, and no more than three steps further on come across a dead white pidgeon.

...

I let the feather go. It didn't exactly feel right to keep it.))
((Pepper! I just got my birthday present! *openopenopens*

...

*promptly melts like a melting thing at the story* *cuddles tight and doesn't let go* Love you too, darlingest. *kiss!*

Andandand pretties...thank you, love! *squeaks and snuggles tight and doesn't take them off*

...Um. Maybe I'd better find something not-pyjamalike to wear and go to my exam... *trots about, still squeaking quietly*

(And as a quick note, I won't be back online until thursday night at the earliest. I've got a couple of days of invigilating lined up after the exam today and mum's computer is up the chute, so - no internet. :O See you guys later...and go fuss Roddy some. He's being adorable again. ;))
((*Zzzzzzzz...*))
((I'd been pondering the idea of making my LJ friends-only for a while now, but this bunch of ridiculous Warriors For Innocence twinks has really just made it seem a better idea all round. Plus, this way I can make a shiny banner to put on my profile to proclaim as much.

Gee, WFI, see how effective your tactics are?))
*jaw is set and optics steady, though she's starting to feel just a tiny bit sick* So - Roddy, somebody, any chance I can borrow a medic?

And... *attempt at a smile, holding out a smallish-sized box* I tried the cake idea, but I don't know how well it worked. You could always use it as a missile if it didn't...happy birthday, guys.
